Day 4 of GITEX GLOBAL 2025 set another benchmark for digital collaboration, as policymakers, cybersecurity leaders, and innovators convened to discuss securing a world powered by AI and data. Cybersecurity and resilience dominated the day’s discussions, while the show floor showcased cutting-edge innovations in AI, cloud, data centres, robotics, and quantum computing.

Speakers emphasized the need for a unified global response, placing security, ethics, and trust at the heart of AI-driven progress. The 45th edition of GITEX GLOBAL continues until 17 October 2025, featuring over 6,800 exhibitors, 2,000 startups, 1,200 investors, and delegations from more than 180 countries at Dubai World Trade Centre.

H.E. Omar Sultan Al Olama, UAE Minister of State for AI, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications, highlighted GITEX as a platform representing the UAE’s vision for technology. He urged governments and enterprises to prioritize AI capacity-building and risk management, stressing the importance of agile policymaking to manage AI effectively.

H.E. Dr. Mohamed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, outlined the nation’s integrated framework combining governance, AI threat detection, and citizen awareness. The UAE Cyber Security Council also unveiled the Cybersecurity Vision 2025 report, focusing on capacity-building, technology exchange, partnerships, and innovation.

Dr. Neal Jetton, Director of Cybercrime at INTERPOL, highlighted the use of AI by criminals and the importance of international collaboration to combat cybercrime. Taavi Madiberk, CEO of Skeleton Technologies, stressed the need to reduce AI costs to enable new applications in areas such as cancer research, climate research, and battery technologies.

Global leaders, including H.E. Liisa-Ly Pakosta, Estonia’s Minister of Justice and Digital Affairs, emphasized strong governance and collaborative frameworks to defend against AI-driven cyber threats.

Exhibitors demonstrated secure digital transformation solutions. Huawei showcased 80+ solutions under ‘All Intelligence,’ spanning AI, cloud, industrial intelligence, and intelligent campuses. The company also released the ICT Skills Development Insights Report 2025 in partnership with UNESCO IITE.

OPSWAT presented MetaDefender Optical Diode and next-generation kiosks for secure data transfer between OT/IT systems. Fortinet highlighted FortiGuard Incident Response & Readiness, while Crowdstrike showcased its Falcon platform, reducing critical vulnerabilities across endpoints, cloud workloads, and applications by 98%.

Dubai Municipality and Fortinet International signed a strategic MoU to advance AI-enabled cybersecurity infrastructure, supporting secure digital systems and public sector transformation.
