GITEX GLOBAL 2025 concluded after a five-day showcase of groundbreaking innovations across AI, data infrastructure, cybersecurity, quantum, digital health, and biotech. The event gathered more than 6,800 exhibitors, 2,000 startups from 180 countries, and 1,200 investors at Dubai World Trade Centre and Dubai Harbour.

Amr Kamel, General Manager at Microsoft UAE, said the UAE continues to lead digital transformation globally. He noted that GITEX remains a vital platform driving innovation and collaboration, fostering a strong AI ecosystem that supports sustainable growth.

Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, joined Peng Xiao, Group CEO of G42, for a virtual session exploring AI-Native Societies. They discussed how international partnerships are shaping the global AI economy. Meanwhile, ministers and officials from multiple regions debated AI regulations, trust, and data sovereignty, signaling a new era of global cooperation in AI governance.

This year’s edition highlighted future-critical sectors such as quantum technology and biotech. GITEX Quantum Expo, Physical AI, Super Data Centres, and Digi Health & Biotech showcased next-generation breakthroughs.

Global tech enterprises, including ai71, Alibaba Cloud, AMD, AWS, e&, G42, Google, HPE, Huawei, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Salesforce, and Snowflake, revealed infrastructure solutions designed for sovereign AI workloads.

Zaid Ghattas of AMD reported that GITEX remains a vital opportunity to connect with the tech ecosystem. Miguel Vega from Oracle emphasized the company’s focus on “Enterprise-Ready AI,” supporting the UAE’s AI-driven future through distributed and sovereign cloud solutions.

Tareq Masoud from Snowflake added that the event enabled organizations to move beyond AI experimentation toward measurable business impact.

A record number of Memorandums of Understanding were signed during the event. Presight and Dubai Taxi Company announced an AI collaboration for smart transport. AWS and e& launched the “AI Nation – Afaaq” program to train 30,000 people in AI and cloud. Abu Dhabi’s Department of Municipalities and Transport revealed 19 partnerships for AI-powered services, real estate, and smart mobility.

At Dubai Harbour, the startup event Expand North Star attracted founders from over 100 nations and investors with assets worth more than US$1.1 trillion. The Supernova Challenge 2.0 awarded Korea’s AIM Intelligence as the top winner, reinforcing GITEX’s position as the world’s largest startup platform.

GITEX also revealed plans for its next edition, GITEX 5.0, to be held from December 7–11, 2026, at Expo City Dubai. The event, titled “GITEX TechCation,” aims to merge technology with lifestyle experiences and extend networking opportunities across the city.

GITEX GLOBAL 2025 once again proved its role as a driving force in advancing AI, innovation, and digital transformation in the UAE and beyond.
