Google has introduced new switching tools for consumer accounts, enabling users to bring memories, chat history, and context from other AI apps directly into Gemini AI. The rollout begins across the Arab world and aims to make onboarding faster and more seamless for users.

The new memory import feature allows users to transfer personal preferences, relationships, and contextual information into Gemini AI. As a result, users no longer need to start from scratch when switching platforms. Instead, Gemini AI can quickly understand key facts, interests, and previously shared details from other AI applications.

To use this feature, users can go to Settings and select the import option. Then, they will receive a suggested prompt to copy and paste into their current AI app. Once the other app generates a summary of user preferences, they can copy the response and paste it back into Gemini AI. The system will then analyze the information and securely store it within Gemini context for future conversations.

In addition, Google is enhancing Personal Intelligence in Gemini AI by integrating insights from connected services such as Gmail, Google Photos, and Google Search. These integrations work only when users grant access, allowing Gemini AI to deliver more relevant and personalized responses.

Furthermore, users can now import full chat histories from other AI providers. This is done by uploading a ZIP file containing past conversations. After uploading, users can search their previous threads and continue discussions directly within Gemini AI, ensuring continuity across platforms.

The feature is currently available on the web across the Arab world and will expand to mobile devices in the coming days, supporting broader accessibility for users transitioning between AI tools. Overall, Gemini AI continues to evolve with improved personalization, smoother data migration, and enhanced user experience.
