Group-IB, a developer of cybersecurity solutions combating digital crime, has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with National Security Services Group L.L.C (NSSG), a prominent cybersecurity firm and Managed Security Services provider based in Oman. The agreement aims to fortify cybersecurity offerings within key sectors such as government, finance, oil and gas, and telecom industries across the Middle East.

Under the MOU, NSSG will integrate Group-IB’s suite of cybersecurity technologies including Threat Intelligence, Fraud Protection, Digital Risk Protection, Managed Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Business Email Protection, and External Attack Surface Management solutions. Additionally, NSSG will leverage Group-IB’s expertise in Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR), High-Tech Crime Investigation, Auditing and Consulting, and Education and Training services to enhance its cybersecurity offerings for clients.

The collaboration also extends to initiatives focused on raising awareness about cyber threats and promoting responsible cyber behavior among the public. The agreement was formalized during the GISEC 2024 event in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with Ashraf Koheil representing Group-IB and Warith Al Maawali representing NSSG.

Group-IB’s managed security service provider (MSSP) and managed detection and response (MDR) partner program offers diverse co-selling opportunities and growth potential for partners, empowering them with flexible licensing options. Recognized for its commitment to fostering strong channel relationships, Group-IB received the prestigious 5-Star Award by CRN® in 2024.

Ashraf Koheil, Regional Sales Director – META of Group-IB, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating, “Today’s signing will enable us to leverage our combined expertise and technical innovation to offer more comprehensive cybersecurity solutions to clients in the Middle East.”

Warith Al Maawali, Acting CEO of NSSG, echoed Koheil’s sentiments, emphasizing the mutual benefits of the collaboration in driving revenue growth and market share expansion.

Group-IB’s presence in the Middle East was further solidified with the establishment of a regional headquarters in May 2021, housing key divisions such as hi-tech crime investigations, Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) lab, Threat Intelligence, and security assessment teams. In September of the same year, Group-IB launched the Group-IB Training Center to provide high-quality cybersecurity training for professionals in the region.

The collaboration with the United Arab Emirates Cyber Security Council in October 2023 underscored Group-IB’s commitment to advancing cybersecurity efforts in the region through technology development and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
