H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation (DFF), has announced the launch of Dubai AI Week 2025, scheduled from 21st to 25th April, 2025.
The inaugural Dubai AI Week will bring together global AI experts, thought leaders, and decision-makers for a series of conferences, initiatives, and exhibitions designed to explore advancements in artificial intelligence, share insights, and address real-world challenges. The event aligns with the Dubai Universal Blueprint for Artificial Intelligence and reinforces Dubai’s position as a global hub for AI innovation.
Dubai AI Week 2025 will feature key events hosted at the Museum of the Future and AREA 2071, including the AI Retreat, Dubai Assembly for Generative AI, Global Prompt Engineering Championship, Machines Can See Summit, and the Dubai AI Festival. The initiative will also include a week-long educational program for schools, organized in collaboration with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), to inspire future generations to embrace AI concepts and applications.
The AI Retreat will bring together over 1,000 global experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss AI opportunities, outline strategies for expanding AI applications, and launch ten strategic initiatives. The Dubai Assembly for Generative AI will host 1,800 participants, including ministers, CEOs, and global speakers, offering 25 main sessions and 12 immersive experiences to explore cutting-edge AI technologies.
The Global Prompt Engineering Championship has received 2,000 applications, with 40 finalists competing for a prize pool of AED 1 million. The competition will focus on optimizing AI solutions for speed, accuracy, and efficiency. The Dubai AI Festival, organized by the Dubai AI Campus in partnership with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), will attract 5,000 business leaders, 500 investors, and 100 exhibitors from 100 countries.
The Machines Can See Summit will debut during Dubai AI Week, featuring 5,000 visitors, 850 participants, and 40 global experts to explore advancements in machine vision technologies. This event will unite executives, researchers, and startups to drive innovation in AI-powered machine vision.
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan highlighted Dubai’s leadership in fostering AI advancements under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. He emphasized Dubai’s focus on creating an integrated AI ecosystem, forging strong public-private partnerships, and accelerating AI adoption to address global challenges.
Dubai AI Week builds on the success of the AI Retreat hosted in June 2024 and introduces groundbreaking initiatives to solidify Dubai’s position as a leader in AI innovation. The event will attract global experts, innovators, and organizations, offering a platform to showcase advancements, establish best practices, and unlock opportunities for progress in artificial intelligence.
