At the HP Amplify Conference 2025, HP Inc. (NYSE: HPQ) unveiled new large format printing innovations aimed at helping Print Service Providers (PSPs) improve efficiency, versatility, and sustainability. The updates focus on addressing common industry challenges while introducing tools that enable scalable growth.
Small and medium-sized PSPs often face space constraints, high upfront costs, and operational complexity. Many rely on inefficient workflows or outsourcing. On the other hand, larger PSPs are looking for flexible solutions that support short runs across both rigid and flexible media.
HP introduced the HP Latex R530 Printer, a compact, hybrid solution designed to streamline production for small and mid-sized print shops. With its space-saving design and easy operation, the R530 enables businesses to expand into rigid printing without the complexity of traditional flatbeds. It offers all-in-one functionality, simplified workflows, and sustainable features.
The printer supports vibrant colors and smooth gradients using HP Latex Inks, HP Latex White Ink, and HP Pixel Control. Its automated printhead cleaning and ink recirculation system help reduce downtime and maintenance costs. The R530 runs on a single-phase power system, making installation easy even in smaller spaces.
HP also emphasized sustainability. The HP Latex R530 includes UL ECOLOGO®-certified inks, returnable extended-life maintenance cartridges, and a design that incorporates 25% recycled plastic. It supports direct-to-rigid printing, reducing waste while preserving the recyclability of fiber-based media.
The HP Latex R530 will be available globally starting April 23, 2025.
In addition, HP introduced the HP PrintOS Production Hub, the world’s only large-format software that integrates order management and remote production control. This centralized platform gives PSPs real-time visibility and control over operations. As a result, businesses can reduce complexity, avoid errors, and increase efficiency. The software will be available globally in May 2025.
HP is also expanding its focus on the construction industry. The company announced new updates to HP Build Workspace, first revealed at HP Imagine last September. The updated platform is now the first to offer AI-based vectorization. This feature automatically converts raster images into CAD-editable files, saving up to 80% of manual work per project.
With Build Workspace, construction professionals can also streamline field reporting and coordinate project updates more effectively. The platform connects with the HP DesignJet portfolio to further support digital workflows, including scanning and vectorization. AI vectorization will launch in North America, the UK, and Germany starting May 2025.
HP also introduced a new add-on for HP SitePrint. The Flatness Measurement Service enables users to measure floor flatness and print elevation corrections directly onto the floor. This eliminates the need for separate data processing steps and combines multiple workflows into a single automated process. The service will be available starting May 2025.
Lastly, HP announced the expansion of its Sustainability Amplifier Program to support large format PSPs. The program provides assessment tools, personalized recommendations, and industry best practices to help businesses improve their environmental impact.
With these announcements, HP continues to support PSPs and AEC professionals by delivering practical, future-ready solutions for automation, efficiency, and sustainable growth.
