Huawei Digital Power Hosts FusionSolar Summit 2025

Huawei Digital Power Middle East & Central Asia announced the successful conclusion of its FusionSolar Technical Innovation Summit 2025 in Dubai. The event gathered global energy leaders, utilities, regulators, and industry experts.

The summit revealed cutting-edge solutions essential for the next stage of renewable energy integration. Discussions focused on ensuring grid stability across the Middle East, Central Asia, and beyond.

“Transitioning to a high-renewable energy system requires a stable, resilient, and intelligent grid,” said Alex Xing, President of Huawei Digital Power Middle East & Central Asia. He emphasized the importance of grid-forming innovation and high-quality solutions to enable clean energy for homes and industries.

Xing also highlighted Huawei’s decade-long investment in grid-forming R&D. The company continues to lead in Smart String Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and AI-driven lifecycle optimization for large-scale photovoltaic (PV) and storage plants.

The summit featured experts from organizations including MESIA, IRENA, EWEC, DNV, HDEC, and Go2Power. They shared insights on market evolution, engineering best practices, grid code compliance, and financial and safety considerations.

Huawei also released its new Smart String Grid-Forming ESS White Paper and Levelized Cost of Energy (LCoE) Report. These documents provide technical frameworks, benchmark results, and engineering guidance for stable and reliable renewable integration. The White Paper highlighted capabilities such as fault ride-through, virtual inertia, frequency control, black start, and seamless grid transitions.

The FusionSolar Summit showcased Huawei Digital Power’s vision to accelerate the global clean energy transition. By integrating digital and power electronics, Huawei aims to deliver safe, intelligent, and resilient energy systems across the Middle East, Central Asia, and worldwide.
