Ras Al Khaimah and Huawei Ecosystem have launched several successful initiatives to position Ras Al Khaimah as a premier destination for Chinese travelers. Through a strategic partnership leveraging Huawei’s advanced ecosystem, including Petal Ads, HUAWEI AppGallery, and HUAWEI Themes, the Emirate has connected with millions of potential visitors in China, bringing Ras Al Khaimah’s unique tourism offerings directly to their fingertips.

One standout campaign was during China’s Golden Week, where Ras Al Khaimah’s breathtaking landscapes, rich culture, and exceptional experiences were showcased through Huawei’s Petal Ads platform, with the support of Chinese Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs). The campaign has delivered impressive results in raising awareness and driving interest in the destination.

William Hu, Managing Director of Huawei Consumer Business Group, Middle East and Africa, emphasized the partnership’s shared commitment to excellence and innovation. “Our collaboration with Ras Al Khaimah reflects our vision to elevate the Emirate as a global tourism and entertainment hub. Huawei’s ecosystem, with Petal Ads at its core, is the ultimate gateway to reach the Chinese market and foster connections that drive tourism, business exchange, and investments,” he stated.

Raki Phillips, CEO of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA), praised the partnership for its impact on engaging the Chinese travel market. “Huawei’s ecosystem has revolutionized how we connect with Chinese travelers, placing Ras Al Khaimah on the map as a must-visit destination. This partnership has already yielded measurable results, and we are excited to build on this momentum,” he said.

A major highlight of the collaboration was Ras Al Khaimah’s hosting of the HUAWEI AppGallery Gamers Cup on November 16, 2024. As the region’s first-ever beachside all-star gaming tournament, the event set a new standard for esports in the region, drawing nearly 1,000 attendees.

The partnership also saw RAKTDA’s active participation in the Huawei Developer Conference (HDC) 2024 MEA in November, further strengthening Ras Al Khaimah’s connections with key Chinese enterprises and showcasing the Emirate’s vision as a forward-thinking tourism destination.

Through these strategic campaigns and events, Ras Al Khaimah continues to build its reputation as a dynamic destination for both leisure and business, with Huawei playing a crucial role in connecting the Emirate to the Chinese market.
