Hub71, Abu Dhabi’s global tech ecosystem, has announced the launch of the Hub71 Startup Immersion Programme at Investopia Hong Kong. The initiative aims to strengthen cross-border ties and accelerate startup growth.

The programme introduces later-stage Hong Kong startups to Abu Dhabi’s dynamic tech ecosystem. It provides a structured pathway to explore the emirate as a launchpad for regional expansion and global market access.

Investopia, hosted by the UAE Ministry of Economy, served as the platform to reveal the programme. This highlights the UAE’s mission to boost global economic partnerships through innovation.

In the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Alhawi, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Investment, Hub71 signed Memoranda of Understanding with three leading Hong Kong innovation hubs: HSITPL, Hong Kong Cyberport, and MTR Lab. These partnerships will:

• Facilitate knowledge exchange and joint programming opportunities.
• Establish a pipeline of high-potential startups for the programme.
• Enable reciprocal ecosystem access for startups and investors.

HSITPL develops the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park under a vision to become a world-class innovation and technology hub. Cyberport serves as Hong Kong’s digital tech hub and AI accelerator, hosting over 2,200 companies, including unicorns and listed firms. MTR Lab invests in mobility, smart city solutions, and sustainability innovations to support a carbon-neutral future.

The two-week immersion programme combines virtual onboarding and in-person sessions in Abu Dhabi. Founders gain access to regulators, investors, corporate partners, tailored mentorship, and curated networking. The programme concludes with a Demo Day during Hub71’s Impact Event in Abu Dhabi.
