IBM Opens New Office in Doha

IBM (NYSE: IBM) has announced the official opening of its new office in Al Mana Tower, located in the Corniche area of Doha. The inauguration ceremony was attended by H.E. Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, Qatar’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Mr. Timmy Davis, the U.S. Ambassador to Qatar; Mr. Shukri Eid, General Manager of IBM for the Gulf, Levant, and Pakistan; Mr. Wissam Shmait, General Manager of IBM in Qatar; and key representatives from IBM’s local clients and business partners.

The new office launch took place alongside the Qatar Global AI Summit, underscoring IBM’s strategic focus on expanding its presence in Qatar’s fast-growing technology market. With Qatar National Vision 2030 and the Digital Agenda 2030 driving the country’s digital transformation, IBM aims to deliver advanced technological solutions and consulting services to accelerate growth and innovation in the region.

Mr. Sami Mohammed Al Shammari, Assistant Undersecretary for Infrastructure and Operations Affairs at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, highlighted the significance of this milestone, stating: “We are pleased to witness IBM’s expansion in Qatar and its support for our journey toward an advanced digital future. This step goes beyond commercial growth; it empowers industries to adopt cutting-edge technologies and fosters public-private collaboration. We are committed to building a robust digital infrastructure that contributes to a knowledge-based economy.”
