IFS, a provider of enterprise cloud and industrial AI software, has announced a strategic partnership with carbon intelligence platform Climatiq. The collaboration coincides with the launch of the new Emissions Management module in IFS Cloud.

This launch supports IFS’s broader strategy to embed sustainability into business operations. It enables customers to make carbon-aware decisions using their own data. The announcement also includes the release of a joint white paper titled “IFS Cloud: Carbon Emissions Scope 3 Overview and Statement of Direction.”

The partnership combines industrial AI and carbon intelligence to transform sustainability management. It targets asset-intensive industries, helping them actively manage and reduce their carbon footprint while maintaining operational efficiency.

IFS Cloud now integrates Climatiq’s carbon calculation engine and a database of scientifically vetted emission factors. This allows for:

• Automatic carbon calculations within core business systems
• Quick setup using existing asset hierarchies in IFS Cloud

The Emissions Management module enables organizations to automate emissions calculations and integrate sustainability into daily operations. Prebuilt templates and standard methodologies help deliver accurate carbon insights at scale.

IFS and Climatiq’s white paper outlines how embedded sustainability capabilities can turn business activity data into actionable emissions insights. It also highlights compliance with global standards such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).
