LG Electronics (LG) has announced major upgrades to its LG Gaming Portal, enhancing the platform for webOS-powered TVs and devices. Now available in over 30 countries, the portal offers a wide range of games and greater versatility.

The company revealed that the revamped user experience is rolling out from August. It allows players to easily discover and play AAA titles. The “Play with Gamepad” menu now lets users choose from services such as Amazon Luna, Blacknut, Boosteroid and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This ensures instant access to countless games, whether with a remote control or game pad.

LG also reported a breakthrough with NVIDIA. LG TVs are the world’s first to support up to 4K 120Hz with HDR cloud gaming via the native GeForce NOW app. This sets a new benchmark for immersive, high-performance streaming.

The UX update streamlines access to essential accessories. The “Recommended for you” tabs connect players to promotions and purchase options.

  • In 17 European markets, a 20 percent discount on the Xbox Wireless Controller is available.
  • In the US, the Magic Remote can be purchased via the ShopTime app.

A new feature called “High Score Challenge” has also been introduced. Easily accessed from the “All Games” tab, it encourages competition on games like Color Mash.

LG Gaming Portal continues to expand its library. Through a collaboration with Blacknut, players can subscribe to cloud games including Agatha Christie – Murder on the Orient Express, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?, and Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway. Other additions include Everdream Valley, Overcooked! 2, and titles playable without a controller such as The Jackbox Party Starter.

The company has also partnered with Play.Works, bringing popular free-to-play titles like Wheel of Fortune, Tetris, PAC-MAN, Creature Mix, and Temple Maze to webOS-powered TVs.

“With over 4,000 cloud-based titles and 600 free single and multiplayer games, LG’s Gaming Portal is quickly becoming an all-in-one hub for every player,” said Chris Jo, head of the webOS Platform Business Center at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company.

LG Gaming Portal is now accessible across LG Smart TVs, Smart Monitors, and third-party TVs running webOS. The company confirmed its commitment to expanding the game streaming experience with new titles, features, and partner collaborations.
