The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MoHESR) has broadened its automatic recognition of university certificates initiative, initially designed for scholarship students, to include multiple key entities within the scholarship sector.
This innovative service, first introduced by the Ministry, streamlines the academic recognition process, making it more efficient and accessible. Following the successful implementation for Ministry-sponsored students, the expanded initiative now benefits the Ministry of Sports, the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK), the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU), the Dubai Ruler’s Court, and the Dubai Health Authority.
The expansion marks a significant step in the Ministry’s digital transformation efforts, aligning with the UAE’s ambitious developmental vision. By ensuring quality and efficiency in academic recognition, the initiative addresses evolving labour market needs while enhancing government services.
Dr. Mohammad Al Mualla, Undersecretary of MoHESR, emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to delivering premier government services in line with UAE leadership’s vision. “This expansion reflects our dedication to providing integrated educational solutions, simplifying certificate recognition, and supporting students’ academic and professional journeys,” he said.
The initiative aims to further student satisfaction and reinforce the UAE’s status as a global educational hub. Dr. Al Mualla also highlighted plans to collaborate with more scholarship entities in the future to bolster the nation’s knowledge-based economy.
Designed to reduce the time and effort involved in recognizing foreign university certificates, the service allows students to obtain recognized certifications proactively, eliminating additional requests. This enhancement improves the student experience and facilitates their transition into the workforce.
The Ministry continues to develop advanced digital services to deliver world-class government solutions, aligning with the UAE’s Zero Government Bureaucracy programme. This initiative underscores MoHESR’s strategy to streamline processes, meet customer expectations, and boost the UAE’s global educational competitiveness.
With this progressive step, the Ministry is paving the way for a more efficient, student-centric approach to academic recognition, supporting the nation’s vision for sustainable development and innovation-driven growth.
