Oracle Cloud and Google Cloud have expanded their partnership, announced today, to give Oracle customers access to Google’s Gemini AI models via Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Generative AI service. The move enables businesses to build AI agents for multimodal understanding, coding, productivity automation, and research tasks.

Oracle plans to make the full range of Google Gemini models available through OCI Generative AI service, including integrations with Vertex AI. This will cover models for video, image, speech, and music generation, as well as specialized industry models such as MedLM. In the future, Oracle will collaborate with Google Cloud to offer Gemini models via Vertex AI within Oracle Fusion Cloud Applications. This will provide customers broader options for workflows in finance, HR, supply chain, sales, service, and marketing. Existing Oracle Universal Credits can be used to access these AI models.

Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, said, “Leading enterprises are using Gemini to power AI agents across various use cases. Oracle customers can now access these models within their Oracle environments, making it easier to deploy AI agents that support developers and streamline data integration tasks.”

The Gemini models are designed for enterprise use, offering up-to-date responses grounded in Google Search data, large context windows, strong encryption, and advanced reasoning abilities. Clay Magouyrk, president of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, noted, “Offering Gemini on OCI Generative AI service emphasizes our focus on delivering secure, cost-effective AI solutions for business innovation.”

Oracle’s platform supports generative and agentic AI applications across industries. Thousands of AI innovators already use OCI’s purpose-built AI capabilities to run demanding workloads. OCI bare metal GPU instances can power applications in generative AI, natural language processing, computer vision, and recommendation systems.
