Phillips Middle East, one of the largest suppliers of state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, announced the launch of its first Manufacturing Tech Center of Excellence in Dubai Silicon Oasis. The Center is designed to empower regional customers with advanced manufacturing technologies, including additive manufacturing, and to bring global expertise with a local presence.

The 5000 square feet facility will integrate Phillips’ additive and subtractive manufacturing technologies under one roof. It will support manufacturers across sectors such as aerospace and defence, automotive, oil and gas, medical, food, and education. The Center offers an immersive, hands-on environment where visitors can explore advanced solutions and gain practical insights into high-quality, locally manufactured products.

Alan Phillips, Founder of Phillips Corporation, reported that the investment reflects the company’s commitment to the UAE’s ambition to become a global leader in advanced manufacturing. He added that the Center strengthens Phillips’ role as a partner in driving industrial excellence and advancing the region’s manufacturing capabilities.

The Center will also help address industry dependence on original equipment manufacturers for spare parts, which often causes delays. By offering modular manufacturing solutions that can be deployed on-site, Phillips aims to enhance operational autonomy, strengthen supply chain resilience, and promote local production.

Terrence Miranda, Managing Director, Phillips MENA & APAC, revealed that the Center integrates additive and subtractive manufacturing, providing a full digital-to-physical experience in one environment. He emphasized that it also serves as a platform for innovation, partnerships, and engineering excellence, enabling local talent to explore new design approaches, improve production processes, and accelerate product development.

Jopu Zachariah, Director of MENA, Phillips Middle East, added that developing local and regional talent is a core priority. The company is collaborating with universities and industrial organizations to build technical expertise, support sustainable workforce growth, and position the region as a hub for advanced manufacturing and technology.

Over the next six to twelve months, Phillips plans to consolidate operations, develop local talent, and expand strategic partnerships. Senior leadership and global experts are engaged in strengthening customer engagement and delivering value through advanced manufacturing solutions in the Middle East.
