Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and HARMAN announced a new collaboration to deliver next-level cockpit solutions for the automotive industry.

The partnership aims to accelerate the consumer-tech transformation of vehicles. It pairs HARMAN’s market-ready automotive solutions with Qualcomm Technologies’ high-performance compute platforms.

According to both companies, the initiative will enable intelligent, contextual, and empathetic in-cabin experiences. It reflects a shared vision to redefine how drivers and passengers connect with their vehicles.

The collaboration will integrate advanced AI models to power real-time ADAS visualization, situational intelligence, and emotion-aware interfaces. These systems will respond to driver and passenger preferences, emotions, and contextual cues.

  • HARMAN’s modular Ready product lineup will align with Qualcomm Technologies’ Snapdragon® Cockpit Elite platform.
  • Qualcomm compute power will boost HARMAN solutions like Ready Engage with its Luna AI avatar, Ready Vision QVUE for AR visualization, and Ready Care for driver monitoring.

For automakers, this means faster development cycles, reduced system complexity, and differentiated human-centric designs. For consumers, it brings crisp graphics, natural AI interaction, and personalized comfort and safety features.

The AI-powered cockpit solutions will initially target automakers in Europe and China, where demand for intelligent and connected mobility is rising.

Qualcomm and HARMAN also revealed plans to scale solutions for HARMAN’s Central Compute portfolio using Snapdragon Ride™ Elite and Snapdragon Ride™ Flex SoC. This central compute architecture allows mixed-criticality workloads on a single SoC, simplifying design, reducing power consumption, and supporting parallel ADAS and infotainment functions.

Enrico Salvatori, Senior Vice President and President, Qualcomm Europe/MEA, called the partnership a “pivotal moment in automotive innovation.”

Huibert Verhoeven, Senior Vice President, SBU Intelligent Cockpit at HARMAN, added that the collaboration would deliver “intelligent, intuitive experiences that continually improve.”
