Riverbed announced the launch of its Riverbed Aternity Cloud solution hosted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The company revealed that it is the first technology provider in the country to deliver a SaaS-based observability platform with integrated AI capabilities that meet national data sovereignty and compliance requirements.

Riverbed reported that the launch reflects its long-term commitment to the Kingdom. The company has also established its Middle East and North Africa Regional Headquarters in Riyadh. With a local leadership team and dedicated staff, the new RHQ is expected to strengthen support for customers and partners and accelerate growth across the region.

The significance of the Aternity Cloud launch and the establishment of the RHQ was highlighted by the presence of Dave Donatelli, CEO of Riverbed, who inaugurated the observability cloud service in Riyadh. Several global and regional executives also attended the company’s EMPOWEREDx conference. Riverbed stated that the new service supports Saudi Vision 2030 and the wider national digital transformation agenda.

Elie Dib, Senior Vice President EMEA at Riverbed, said the company has supported Saudi public and private sector organisations for decades. He noted that the new locally hosted observability cloud offering enables enterprises to adopt advanced AI-powered IT operations while staying fully compliant with national data policies. He added that it aligns with government mandates for data residency and strengthens digital performance assurance.

Riverbed revealed that the Aternity Cloud for KSA is an enterprise-scale Digital Employee Experience platform. It delivers full visibility into digital experiences across millions of devices and cloud-native services. Globally, the service processes more than 250 billion daily activities, manages over four million endpoints, and is backed by six years of certified compliant SaaS operations. The launch expands Riverbed’s long-standing presence in the Saudi market, where it already works with leading government entities, banks, and other major industries.

The company also announced that the new cloud platform introduces strong portability for Saudi enterprises. By hosting the service in a leading local data centre, organisations can adopt the SaaS model while maintaining full control over data sovereignty and compliance. The offering is expected to appeal to defence and other sensitive sectors that require strict security and governance.

Riverbed reported a sharp rise in AI adoption across Saudi organisations. Its recent research showed that AI investments have increased by nearly 160% year-on-year. The study also found that 55% of Saudi respondents said their AIOps project returns had exceeded expectations.

Additional insights from Riverbed’s AI research revealed that enterprises in the Kingdom use an average of 13 observability tools from nine vendors. Moreover, 98% of respondents are actively consolidating these tools to enhance performance and simplify operations.
