Schneider Electric and DP World have announced the graduation of 15 young Emiratis from their pioneering leadership programs. The initiative aims to strengthen the UAE’s future-ready workforce and support the country’s sustainability and innovation goals.

The graduation ceremony was held at Schneider Electric’s new Dubai office, The NEST. It honored nine undergraduates from the Future Sustainability Leaders Program and six high-performing employees from the Talent Exchange Program.

Participants gained hands-on experience in sustainability practices, digital innovation, and leadership development. Schneider Electric reported that the five-month Future Sustainability Leaders Program covered decarbonization, energy management, and AI fundamentals. Students joined virtual sessions led by Schneider Electric experts and completed a one-month internship at DP World and Schneider Electric.

Meanwhile, the Talent Exchange Program gave six Emirati employees a two-week workplace immersion. They received mentorship from industry leaders, joined field visits, and worked on hands-on projects. DP World revealed that the program strengthened collaboration, improved participants’ sustainability decision-making, and fostered innovation-driven business models.

Amel Chadli, President of Gulf Cluster, Schneider Electric, said the milestone highlights their partnership with DP World and commitment to nurturing national talent. He added that these young leaders will play a key role in steering the UAE’s innovation economy and elevating its global reputation in sustainability and technology.

Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO and Managing Director of DP World GCC, stated that investing in young talent is central to their sustainability strategy. He highlighted that with over half the population under 30, the UAE has one of the world’s youngest talent pools ready to drive greener trade and supply chains.

The collaboration builds on existing Emiratisation initiatives such as:

  • Tamayuz Program
  • FEM in STEM
  • Next Gen Go Green, Ruwad, Tumoohi, and Bedaya

Earlier this year, Schneider Electric launched a five-year AED 100 million program to develop next-generation talent in the UAE. DP World also reinforced its $35 million education investment plan through 2030.
