Seagate storage solutions were showcased at Intersec 2026, highlighting advanced technologies for AI-driven video analytics. The company revealed its edge-to-cloud portfolio, designed to help businesses unlock the full value of their data and make faster, smarter decisions.

AI applications in video image analytics (VIA) are driving rapid data growth at the network edge. According to IDC, more than 75% of organizations expect their video data to at least double over the next five years. AI is adding summaries, annotations, and metadata to every frame, creating new use cases across industries. These include accelerating investigations, automating alerts, ensuring compliance, and enabling operational insights.

To meet this demand, Seagate highlighted its latest mass-capacity storage solutions. The company reported availability of 32TB hard drives across its Exos®, SkyHawk® AI, and IronWolf® Pro portfolios. Building on technologies used in hyperscale cloud environments, these drives allow enterprise customers to scale AI workloads efficiently across hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures.

“AI applications, like computer vision, are changing how video is used across industries,” said Melyssa Banda, SVP of Edge Storage and Solutions at Seagate. “Video is becoming searchable business intelligence. Mass-capacity storage at the edge and in data centers is essential to keep insights flowing and archives accessible.”

Seagate invited visitors to its Intersec booth SA H19, where experts provided updates on technologies addressing the AI-driven data surge. A networking Happy Hour for media was scheduled on January 13 at 12:30 pm at the booth.
