ALEC Holdings announced the latest edition of its annual Innovation Day, showcasing how its Innovation Roadmap has transformed the company into a ‘Platform for Global Innovation Solutions’. The company revealed its solutions are shaping the future of smart construction, with technologies ideated, tested, and scaled across the industry.

With the GCC construction market projected to reach US$2.7 trillion by 2033, the sector faces pressure to build faster, safer, and more sustainably. Imad Itani, Head of Innovation at ALEC, reported that innovation requires an ecosystem where technologies can be applied to ambitious projects, investors access vetted solutions, and innovators secure fast-track funding. He added that ALEC has become the epicentre of construction innovation, implementing and scaling transformative technologies.

ALEC’s culture encourages experimentation, with champions across departments testing and refining new ideas. Several business units now regularly bring innovative products and services to market.

Fifteen external partners also showcased their technologies during Innovation Day. They have used ALEC as a launchpad to mature solutions, apply them to real projects, and build commercial models creating industry-wide value. Notable examples included TENDERD, the AI-powered equipment management platform that raised US$30 million in Series A funding, and SOLUT, whose workforce productivity analytics increased labour efficiency by around 30 percent across pilot sites.

Aleksander Belousov, Founder of SOLUT, revealed that ALEC’s validation boosted engagement from developers, contractors, and other industries, accelerating their technology adoption and market readiness.

This year, ALEC expanded innovation initiatives to include select subcontractors, reporting that their involvement is essential in shaping the sector’s future. The company aims to broaden participation across the supply chain, fostering collaboration and shared learning to enhance capabilities and drive collective progress.

ALEC also introduced new Collaboration Awards to recognise partners elevating innovation. Awards covered Innovative Subcontractor of the Year, Technology Collaboration of the Year, Start-up Engagement of the Year, and Client Collaboration of the Year. The company stated that these awards reflect its commitment to stronger partnerships and meaningful industry-wide progress.
