The UAE Cybersecurity Council announced a major advancement in national post-quantum readiness during CyberQ 2025 in Abu Dhabi on November 26 and 27. Officials revealed that the progress follows the Council’s expanded collaboration with QuantumGate, the ATRC-backed company focused on quantum-safe security.

The Council reported that this next phase marks the UAE’s move from planning to large-scale implementation. It aims to accelerate national preparedness for future quantum decryption threats across critical sectors.

The Cybersecurity Council and QuantumGate, a subsidiary of VentureOne, confirmed that they will deepen national preparedness by supporting the UAE’s transition to quantum-safe security. Their joint efforts will strengthen the country’s ability to anticipate and mitigate risks linked to quantum decryption capabilities. They will also advance readiness across priority sectors and enable early, methodical steps toward large-scale cryptographic migration. With this shift to coordinated implementation, the UAE stands among the first nations to operationalize a comprehensive post-quantum strategy.

The next phase of collaboration will translate national strategy into practical and system-wide readiness across three key programs:

  • National Information Assurance Programme
  • National Cybersecurity Index Platform
  • National Post-Quantum Migration Programme

Through the National Information Assurance Programme, both entities will improve baseline security requirements and resilience across public and private organizations. Via the National Cybersecurity Index Platform, they will enhance national-level visibility, measurement, and readiness tracking.

Under the National Post-Quantum Migration Programme, the partnership will identify vulnerable cryptographic assets, prioritise migration pathways, and guide entities with long-term data protection needs. Officials stated that setting clear baselines, sector-wide guidance, and early roadmaps will move the UAE beyond awareness into actionable nationwide preparedness.

Dr. Mohamed Al-Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber Security for the UAE Government, said the approach is to “anticipate, not react.” He added that QuantumGate’s advanced capabilities will help the UAE build quantum-safe defenses before quantum decryption becomes possible.

The partnership will also integrate a wider suite of QuantumGate technologies into national initiatives. These include the Crypto Discovery Tool, which provides visibility of cryptographic assets; QSphere, a quantum-resilient VPN and data security suite; and Salina and Secure VMI, which extend protection into broader enterprise and government cybersecurity needs.

Dr. Najwa Aaraj, CEO of QuantumGate, reported that the collaboration has evolved from research to full-scale deployment. She stated that TII’s advanced cryptography and QuantumGate’s platforms are now being implemented across national infrastructures to safeguard the UAE against emerging quantum-era vulnerabilities.

The long-term collaboration reinforces the UAE’s position as a regional and global leader in post-quantum cybersecurity. It also highlights the importance of close alignment between government and national technology providers to build a secure digital foundation for the future.

Officials confirmed that through coordinated implementation and scaled quantum-safe readiness, the Cybersecurity Council and QuantumGate are strengthening the nation’s ability to safeguard sensitive information and enhance national resilience.
