The Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee (NOC) have signed an agreement to launch the Digital Transformation and Sports Innovation Platform. The signing took place in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the NOC, and Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports.
The platform aims to revolutionize the UAE sports sector through AI-powered solutions, improve performance governance, and accelerate the National Sports Strategy 2031. This initiative strengthens the UAE’s position as a global leader in sports technology and digital innovation.
Ghanem Mubarak Al Hajeri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports, and Faris Mohammed Al Mutawa, Secretary-General of the NOC, signed the agreement. The platform will focus on analyzing athlete performance, nurturing talent, and optimizing operations through advanced digital systems.
H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed emphasized that sustainable sports development requires future-ready systems. He noted that the platform will boost athletic competitiveness and reinforce sports as a key part of national progress.
Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi highlighted the importance of digital transformation in driving sustainable progress. He explained that the platform will unify the national sports vision, promote innovation, and deliver lasting economic and social benefits.
The platform will also offer specialized training programs to enhance digital skills for staff in clubs and federations. It will foster key partnerships with national and international sports bodies and private companies to develop innovative sports solutions.
In the coming weeks, the platform will reveal its institutional identity and announce a board of directors with leaders from the sports and technology sectors. This first-of-its-kind initiative reflects the UAE’s commitment to building an innovation-led sports ecosystem and shaping the future of sports in the region.
