Abu Dhabi’s Technology Innovation Institute (TII) and VentureOne, ATRC’s venture builder, in collaboration with e&, announced the launch of QuantumConnect in the UAE. The next-generation encryption solution uses quantum physics to revolutionize secure communications, embedding hardware directly on fibre infrastructure.

Built on TII’s proprietary Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) technology, the offering ensures future-proof protection of data as it moves across networks. It addresses the growing complexity of threats, including quantum computing’s potential to break conventional encryption. QKD transmits encryption keys as quantum particles, which cannot be intercepted or duplicated without detection. This guarantees secure key exchanges against current and future quantum attacks.

Developed in the UAE, the encryption solution combines TII’s expertise with local compliance. It aligns with national regulations, including the UAE’s new Cryptography Executive Regulation, which mandates security controls to safeguard confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. It also supports compliance with federal laws governing ICT use in healthcare.
