The second day of GITEX GLOBAL 2025 witnessed a major announcement as senior representatives from the UAE and Türkiye signed a partnership to launch GITEX Ai Türkiye in Istanbul.

Set to become Türkiye and Eurasia’s largest AI and tech gathering, the event will accelerate adoption, investment, and partnerships across key technology sectors. Organized by KAOUN International in collaboration with the Investment and Finance Office of the Presidency of Türkiye and the Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology, the event will take place from September 9–10, 2026, at the Istanbul Expo Centre.

As part of the GITEX GLOBAL network, GITEX Ai Türkiye will feature immersive showcases covering AI, Cybersecurity, Fintech, Gaming, Cloud, and Connectivity, uniting innovators from around the world.

The partnership was signed by Trixie LohMirmand, CEO of KAOUN International; Gökhan Yücel, SVP of Communications and Marketing at the Investment and Finance Office of Türkiye; and Sadullah Uzun, Director General of National Technology at the Ministry of Industry and Technology.

Gökhan Yücel said Türkiye aims to position itself as the global nexus of AI. He revealed that the country currently has 1,059 active AI startups, over 1,300 R&D and design centers, and 12,000 companies across 106 Technology Development Zones. High and medium-high tech exports now exceed USD 100 billion, while 2024 foreign direct investment projects brought USD 10 billion in capital commitments.

Sadullah Uzun stated that Türkiye’s growing innovation ecosystem highlights its role in the global AI landscape. He emphasized initiatives such as Türkiye TechVisa, which attracts global talent, and Turcorn 100, designed to help startups scale internationally.

Trixie LohMirmand commented that Türkiye serves as a bridge between East and West, where ideas and opportunities converge. She added that bringing the world’s most connected AI and tech investor network to Türkiye will transform it into the next cross-border corridor of digital excellence.

  • GITEX Ai Türkiye aims to elevate the country’s domestic AI ecosystem through global collaboration.
  • The event will strengthen Türkiye’s position in AI, fintech, cybersecurity, and Industry 4.0 advancements.

Reports indicate that accelerating AI adoption in Türkiye’s public services could generate up to USD 4 billion in annual savings and contribute 1% to GDP. As the nation’s innovation infrastructure expands, GITEX Ai Türkiye is expected to further empower its role in shaping the future of global AI and technology.
