The University of Dubai (UD), an AACSB and ABET accredited institution, has announced a new partnership with emt, a leading cybersecurity solutions provider in the Middle East and Africa. The agreement was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed in Dubai by Dr. Eesa Bastaki, President of the University of Dubai, and Mr. Mo Mobasseri, Chief Executive Officer of emt.

The MOU outlines a framework for collaboration in cybersecurity and digital resilience. Both parties revealed that the agreement will focus on:

  • Joint promotion of products, services, courses, and C-SAR Center initiatives.
  • Preferential access to programs and services for employees and their families.
  • Collaborative research, joint projects, and student internship opportunities.

It was also reported that emt experts will deliver guest lectures, seminars, and solution presentations to students. This aims to expose students to industry practices and technologies.

Dr. Eesa Bastaki said the collaboration will strengthen efforts to advance knowledge and practice in cybersecurity. He highlighted that linking academic research with industry expertise supports the UAE’s mission to build a secure and resilient digital ecosystem.

Mr. Mo Mobasseri stated that the partnership reflects emt’s commitment to fostering innovation and professional development. He emphasized that this initiative is part of emt’s Corporate Social Responsibility and aims to equip future talent in the region.

The MOU will remain valid for two years and underscores a shared commitment to advancing cybersecurity and digital resilience in the UAE.
