Batterjee Medical College (BMC), one of Saudi Arabia’s leading private medical colleges, has significantly strengthened its data resilience and operational efficiency by deploying Veeam Data Platform, Veeam Backup for Microsoft 365, and Veeam Data Cloud Vault. The initiative, in collaboration with Veeam® Software, the global leader in data resilience, supports BMC’s growth plans, including a new campus in Dubai.

The implementation allows BMC to deliver high-quality hybrid education to students across the region. It also positions the college to become the first Saudi education institution to operate internationally.

With data growing at an estimated 20% per year, BMC recognized the critical need to safeguard information and ensure uninterrupted service. “We’re committed to embracing new technologies, driving digital transformation, and using technology to boost productivity,” said Nabil Alsanbi, IT Operations Director at BMC.

Veeam’s solutions enabled the college to dramatically improve backup and recovery capabilities. Recovery times dropped from two hours to just 15 minutes, an 87% reduction. Backup times were halved, and the workload on IT staff was reduced by 80%. Storage compression further reduced storage requirements by up to 80%.

Mena Migally, Regional Vice President for EMEA East at Veeam, commented, “BMC’s transformation shows how data resilience can fuel innovation and international growth. Our technology helps the college scale, accelerate digital transformation, and deliver uninterrupted medical education.”
