Viu, FOX+ collaboration extends international content offering in MENA

Viu has partnered with FOX+ to expand its tailored international content offering to its audiences across MENA from October. The collaboration is another step on the brand’s growth journey and reinforces its vision of creating engaging and diverse content and bringing quality international content to its audiences.

More than 300 Western titles will be available on Viu, with close to 100 hours of new content being added to the platform each month. Audiences will have access to content from FOX+ including the latest TV series, lifestyle shows, Hollywood blockbusters, inspiring documentaries, and kids’ programs.

The introduction of FOX+ content adds to Viu’s library of international titles which includes Arabic, Korean, Pakistani, Indian, Pinoy, Spanish, Turkish, and Russian series and films.

Viu’s tie-up with FOX+ follows its strategy of forming partnerships that offer great viewing variety while captivating new audiences. Notably, the streaming service has gained a following throughout the Middle East by offering popular content from well-recognized Arab and Asian content providers across different genres with local language dubbing and subtitles. This comes as interest in foreign films and TV continues to rise in our operating markets.

Available to Viu Premium members in the region, the FOX+ content will feature a range of movies, TV series, and documentaries across five FOX+ categories: FOX Series, a library of US dramas and comedies; FOX Cinema, providing popular Hollywood movies and franchises from 20th Century Fox productions across different genres; FOX Life, popular lifestyle shows dedicated to food, home, fashion, leisure and travel and reality TV; National Geographic, providing leading documentaries; and Baby TV, home of baby and toddler entertainment.  

Subscribers to Viu’s free service will gain special access to the first episode of each available FOX+ series.

Viu-ers can also enjoy leading titles such as the Rocky series, The Maze Runner (from November), Planet of the Apes (from November) and Deadpool (from December), and TV series Modern Family (seasons 1-10), Homeland (seasons 1-6) and American Horror Story (seasons 1-8).

Through HK Television Entertainment Company Limited, PCCW also operates a domestic free TV service in Hong Kong.
