The World Advanced Manufacturing & Future Mobility Exhibition (WAM Morocco) has announced a strong lineup of global industrial and technology companies making their first appearance at a manufacturing exhibition in Morocco. The development signals growing international confidence in Morocco’s role as a hub for Industry 4.0 and intelligent manufacturing in Africa.

WAM Morocco will take place from 20 to 22 January at the Foire Internationale de Casablanca. The event has revealed that SAP, Sumitomo Corporation, ENGIE, Vigel and Zoho Corporation will debut in Morocco as exhibitors. They will join more than 100 companies from over 18 countries, including the United States, Portugal, Spain, France, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Vietnam, the Netherlands and Italy.

Meanwhile, the exhibition brings together global technology and industrial firms such as Schneider Electric, Teledyne, Vivo Energy, Autoritat Portuària de Barcelona, Kirby Building Systems and OCP Circular Technologies. As a result, the platform is expected to support cross-border collaboration, technology transfer and investment across Africa’s industrial ecosystem.

Trixie LohMirmand, CEO of KAOUN International, said the participation of first-time exhibitors reflects momentum in Morocco’s industrial transformation. She added that WAM Morocco connects global innovation with regional ambition and supports new collaboration models across Africa.

In addition, a spokesperson for UM6P reported that its participation reflects confidence in Morocco’s ability to develop intelligent industrial ecosystems. The spokesperson noted that the exhibition enables collaboration and accelerates the adoption of manufacturing technologies.

The event is backed by Moroccan industrial and institutional stakeholders, including MSC Pro, CDD, CE3M, Amlog, Fenagri, CGM, OFPPT and UM6P. It is also supported by sponsors such as Seidor, Transit Aharram and Plastic Science by Design. This support, alongside involvement from CDG and APEBI, positions WAM Morocco as a government-endorsed platform for industrial development.

Hatim Chraibi, Principal at SPIRE Advisory Group, stated that WAM Morocco brings industry stakeholders, policymakers and investors together in one forum. He said this creates opportunities to raise awareness and unlock industrial potential in Morocco and across Africa.

In a regional first, WAM Morocco has introduced an international startup pavilion backed by Invest India. The initiative was announced as a way to connect African industrial challenges with global startup solutions. It is supported by the Supernova Challenge, Africa’s first manufacturing-focused startup competition, offering a USD 10,000 cash prize and attracting more than 40 startups.

The top 10 Supernova finalists represent innovation in areas such as advanced robotics, AI-based quality control, sustainable materials, industrial IoT, smart logistics and next-generation energy systems. These startups will pitch to investors and industry executives during the exhibition.

Jaafar Elalamy, CEO of Seiki, said the event comes at a time when mobility data is becoming critical for smarter and more sustainable cities. He added that Morocco’s preparations for the 2030 World Cup and the Digital Morocco 2030 goals increase the urgency of data-driven urban planning.

Furthermore, WAM Morocco has announced FEWACCI as a new strategic partner. This partnership connects Morocco’s industrial ecosystem with West African markets and supports regional trade, investment and technology deployment.

Organised by KAOUN International under DWTC, and delivered in partnership with MSC Pro, CDD, UM6P, Advantage Austria and Der Mittelstand BVMW, the exhibition unites public and private sector participants. In association with GITEX Africa, WAM Morocco is positioned as a platform supporting Industry 4.0 adoption across borders.

Key highlights include:

  • First-time participation in Morocco by major global industrial technology companies
  • Launch of Africa’s first manufacturing-focused startup competition
  • Strong institutional and government-backed industry support

WAM Morocco will be held in Casablanca from 20 to 22 January, bringing together manufacturers, technology providers, investors and innovators focused on advanced manufacturing and future mobility.
