For a healthy, efficient, and engaging digital experience, Epson offers sustainable home solutions for better and convenient remote working and e-learning purposes.

In an online survey by Epson on the impact of the pandemic on home printing, 80% of respondents in the Middle East said that their children were continuing to study remotely, either exclusively at home or a hybrid of on-premise and at-home learning.

Jason McMillian, sales director, Epson Middle East said: “Technology is greatly advancing offering many innovative solutions to facilitate this change in education systems. The pandemic changed many norms of the way we live, work, or even learn. As remote and hybrid learning have been on a rise, simple technology switches can benefit remote learners, parents and even distance teachers.”

Epson’s home projectors can display lessons on a big screen, producing larger images with lower pixilation. The home projectors create an interactive classroom environment with higher productivity and comfort, especially in reducing eye strain during long online classes.

Alongside the rise in home learning has been an increased need for home printing. The online survey by Epson also revealed that around 70% of parents in the Middle East were unable to print home schooling materials for their children during the stay-at-home period. Two thirds of these parents also felt the lack of technology negatively impacted their child’s education.

“The distance learning process has been both a challenge but even a success, especially where teachers and students have implemented the right technologies. While most parts of the e-learning process can be completed digitally, there are times when both teachers and students require a printed document for ease of reading and access. To create a home classroom and meet printing demands without compromising on quality, Epson has provided many convenient options such as the EcoTank printers range,” Jason McMillian, sales director, Epson Middle East commented.

Acting as an alternative to traditional cartridge printers, Epson’s EcoTank printers eliminate the need for ink cartridge replacements with more convenience and cost-effectiveness, saving about 4,600 AED (4700 SAR / 20,320 EGP) in a span of three years with the inbox ink. Best suited for high volumes of home printing, the EcoTank printers ink tank lasts up to three years, enough to print up to 14,000 pages.

Epson witnessed a 399% year-on-year increase in online sales of EcoTank printers for the period of April to July 2020, due to the demand seen during the stay-at-home period.

Epson witnessed a 232% year-on-year increase in online sales of EcoTank printers for the period of April 2020 to March 2021, due to the demand seen as a result of moving to distance learning and working from home.

Using Heat-Free technology, Epson’s printers require no heat to warm up, saving power consumption and energy, while ensuring consistent high-speed printing. It also offers more reliability, reduced downtime, and fewer replacement parts which lowers the environmental impact.
