GISEC Global, the Middle East’s premier cybersecurity event, is championing women’s roles in the field, fostering diversity and innovation within the industry. In anticipation of International Women’s Day, GISEC Global 2024 is shining a spotlight on influential female figures in cybersecurity who will lead discussions at the Inspire conference, a highlight of the event taking place from April 23rd to 25th, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Esteemed professionals such as Alina Tan, Judy Ngure, and Caitlin Sarian will headline the Inspire conference, symbolizing resilience, talent, and advocacy in cybersecurity. These women have made significant contributions to sectors ranging from automotive security to corporate consulting and social media, reshaping perceptions of inclusivity and driving innovation in the field.

Alina Tan,

recognized as one of the Top 30 Women in Security in ASEAN, has carved a niche in automotive cybersecurity. Her journey, inspired by a passion for motorsport, led to the establishment of specialized groups promoting cybersecurity awareness within her community.

Judy Ngure, founder of Bug Bounty Box, and co-author of “African Women in Security: Remarkable Women Moving Cybersecurity in Africa,” is dedicated to supporting diversity in cybersecurity across Africa.

Caitlin Sarian, also known as Cybersecurity Girl, brings a decade of consulting experience to the table, advocating for improved training strategies and challenging conventional approaches to cybersecurity education.

Despite their achievements, these women acknowledge the challenges faced by aspiring female professionals in cybersecurity. A lack of recognition and opportunities often hinders progress, with misconceptions about the field discouraging potential candidates. Addressing these challenges requires concerted efforts from governments, enterprises, and educational institutions to foster awareness, accessibility, and advocacy for women in tech.

GISEC Global 2024 aims to facilitate dialogue and collaboration among industry leaders, exhibitors, and ethical hackers from around the world, driving forward the mission of creating a more diverse and inclusive cybersecurity landscape. With over 20,000 visitors, 750 exhibiting companies, and 350 cybersecurity speakers, GISEC Global stands as the Middle East’s largest and most impactful cybersecurity event, providing a platform for innovation and collaboration in the digital age.
