Cisco and Miral announced their agreement at GITEX Technology Week 2021 to improve Yas Island’s smartphone application, which would improve guest experiences at the island’s attractions.
Users who download the smartphone application will be able to receive reminder notifications for live programs and relevant offers more quickly and easily, based on their location and preferences.
“Over the years, we have partnered with Cisco’s technology to further achieve our vision of positioning Yas Island as a top global destination for entertainment, leisure, and business. Integral to achieving this goal is the creation of unique, digitally-enabled guest experiences, and with our upcoming project, we are confident that visitors at our attractions and experiences will experience newfound levels of connectivity, convenience, and immersion as they use our application,” said Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, CEO of Miral.
The improved application will be designed to provide guests with new methods to find attractions, points of interest, and activities within the cutting-edge theme park through a seamless, personalized user experience. Cisco is collaborating with Miral to develop a cutting-edge system that recognizes, analyses, and recommends actions to users as they navigate the site in real-time.
“Our ongoing collaboration with Miral is evident of the close alignment we share to create world-class destinations through the power of digitization. Cisco’s reliable, intuitive infrastructure and broad product portfolio is helping to accelerate and futureproof Miral’s growth and innovation agenda. With the introduction of the new application and the intelligent technologies that power it, we are confident that visitors will enjoy a more personalized and memorable experience at Yas Island’s theme parks and attractions,” said Shukri Eid, Managing Director, Gulf Region, Cisco.
Cisco’s collaboration with Miral builds on an earlier Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed in 2017 to improve Yas Island’s digital offering through the use of intelligent networks and IoT best practices. Cisco’s wireless network infrastructure and Cisco DNA Spaces products were installed as part of this cooperation, providing Miral with extensive location-based capabilities and laying the groundwork for the application’s current enhancements.
Cisco has also collaborated with Miral as part of its Country Digital Acceleration (CDA) program, which sees Cisco collaborate with the UAE’s national leadership, industry, and academia to assist the digital transformation agenda and boost GDP. Cisco has joined Miral’s ambition to deliver smart, intuitive, and memorable experiences across its network of sports, entertainment, and leisure locations as a strategic digitalization partner in this space.
