HP’s commitment to enhancing digital experiences for employees in the business and IT sectors has reached a significant milestone, as it has been nearly a year since the launch of HP Workforce Solutions. This dedicated business division is aimed at helping professionals create productive, collaborative, and successful digital experiences for their employees, regardless of their location.

Since its inception, HP has been actively engaging with enterprise and SMB customers to gain a deep understanding of their unique challenges. It’s evident that businesses are under substantial pressure to accelerate their digital transformation efforts while maintaining seamless employee experiences, a task made increasingly complex in the evolving landscape of hybrid work and cybersecurity threats.

HP is uniquely positioned to address these challenges and has introduced new tools to manage and optimize employee productivity.

Managed Collaboration Services: Revolutionizing Conference Rooms as a Service

As companies welcome employees back to physical offices, the need for attractive, productivity-driven office environments is paramount. Even within office spaces, meetings often demand collaboration with colleagues across the globe, yet a mere 11% of conference rooms are video-enabled. This lack of video conferencing capabilities results in employees spending valuable time searching for suitable spaces for virtual meetings. Moreover, frequent audio-visual glitches disrupt meetings, hampering communication and productivity.

To combat these issues, HP has unveiled a new subscription service known as Managed Collaboration Services. This service is designed to manage, operate, and optimize video conference rooms, ensuring seamless experiences. HP is currently piloting this service and plans to roll it out globally in April 2024.

What sets HP’s Managed Collaboration Services apart is its personalized approach, which tailors solutions to each business’s unique needs by leveraging cutting-edge technology from Poly and HP. Beyond just providing technology, the service analyzes data to offer recommendations and even automatically address issues before they impact productivity. For instance, insights about room occupancy, availability, and usage rates will help companies optimize their conference room usage.

In the near future, HP plans to enable proactive issue identification and solutions. For example, if a conference room remains empty ten minutes after a meeting’s scheduled start time, the system can automatically cancel the booking to free up the space. Employees encountering issues in a conference room can easily request help through a control panel, connecting them to a network operations service professional who can remotely address the problem.

These features are just a glimpse of how HP’s new offerings aim to enhance the conference room experience and boost employee productivity.

Workforce Central: AI-Driven Insights and Actions on a Global Scale

HP customers seek a comprehensive solution for employee productivity gear, from configuring devices and shipping them to employees’ homes to proactive issue resolution. To address this need, HP introduced Workforce Central, a cloud-based dashboard allowing IT managers to discover, configure, monitor, and manage HP services and solutions in one central location. Thousands of customers have already embraced Workforce Central during its beta phase.

In October, HP launched Workforce Central globally, offering insights from a single, integrated management console to all commercial customers and partners. Starting in November, HP will provide ubiquitous telemetry across its extensive portfolio of over 200 million PCs, Poly systems, and printers. By harnessing artificial intelligence alongside telemetry data, HP’s Proactive Insights tool can anticipate issues and deliver specific recommendations, enhancing both IT support and employee experiences. Proactive Insights will be accessible through Workforce Central starting in November 2023.

HP Protect and Trace with HP Wolf Connect: A Global Cybersecurity Solution

In an age of persistent cybersecurity threats, HP’s Protect and Trace with Wolf Connect is a game-changer. Companies invest roughly $200 billion annually in cybersecurity, but only a small fraction goes towards endpoint security, a significant vulnerability in today’s hybrid work environment. Accurate asset tracking remains a top challenge, according to a recent Forrester study.

Starting this month, HP’s Protect and Trace with Wolf Connect, a cellular-based PC tracking and data wiping solution, will be available globally. This innovative solution enables customers to track devices and remotely wipe data, even when the PC is offline or powered down. Companies can utilize this technology to secure misplaced devices, prevent data breaches from stolen devices, optimize fleet asset management, and render PCs useless when necessary.

With these advancements in services and solutions, HP empowers CIOs to provide a superior digital experience for employees, regardless of their location worldwide.
