MBRIF Opens Applications for 9th Innovation Accelerator Program Cohort

The Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund (MBRIF), a UAE Ministry of Finance initiative supporting innovation, is now accepting applications for the 9th cohort of its esteemed Innovation Accelerator program.

Launched in 2018, the Innovation Accelerator aligns with the UAE’s National Strategy for Advanced Innovation. It empowers entrepreneurs to significantly impact their industries and the UAE’s economy. The program targets priority sectors under the national strategy, providing participants with state-of-the-art resources, expert coaching, and mentorship to enhance their capabilities and accelerate business growth.

Selected innovators will receive a comprehensive support package, including access to cutting-edge tools and facilities, guidance from industry leaders to enhance business strategies, connections with established entrepreneurs and potential investors, and opportunities for funding to scale their businesses.

Fatima Yousif Alnaqbi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services Sector and Chief Innovation Officer at the UAE Ministry of Finance, emphasized the program’s global appeal:

“The consistent influx of applications worldwide is a testament to our initiative’s benefits for entrepreneurs and our innovation ecosystem. We are excited to explore ideas and innovations with the potential to profoundly impact industries and drive our economy forward.”

Alnaqbi added, “The Innovation Accelerator exemplifies our commitment to fostering innovation and collaboration within the UAE’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, in line with our National Strategy for Advanced Innovation. We eagerly anticipate welcoming more of the brightest talents to our program.”

Entities selected for Cohort 9 will join over 150 diverse businesses from 28 countries that have benefited from the Innovation Accelerator. Notable alumni include Fortyguard, a cleantech platform for urban temperature intelligence showcased at GTC 2024 with NVIDIA; Verofax, a platform for asset tracking management and sustainable lifecycle tracing; and Appro, awarded Best Fintech at the Fintech World Cup, Dubai Fintech Summit.
