Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, undertook a tour of the 18th Dubai Airshow, the preeminent global event for the aerospace, space, and defense sectors. The event, hosted at Dubai World Central (DWC), features a record-breaking assembly of over 1,400 exhibitors from 148 countries and spans from November 13th to 17th.

Reflecting on the significance of the occasion, Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the UAE’s pivotal role, led by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in shaping diverse industries’ future. He emphasized the nation’s commitment to fostering collaboration on a global scale to generate innovative ideas and solutions for sustained growth. The UAE, Sheikh Mohammed stated, is dedicated to actively participating in initiatives that address global challenges and contribute to a sustainable and prosperous world.

Commending the event’s historical growth and its contribution to propelling the global aviation sector forward, Sheikh Mohammed remarked on the Dubai Airshow’s three-decade legacy. He noted the multi-billion-dollar deals forged during the exhibition, underscoring Dubai’s ability to transform challenges into opportunities and turn adversity into pathways to success.

Sheikh Mohammed’s tour included visits to the pavilions of prominent UAE entities such as the EDGE Group, Strata Manufacturing, and Emirates. Accompanied by dignitaries including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, the Ruler of Dubai received briefings on Emirates’ latest fleet, featuring cutting-edge aircraft like the A380, Boeing 777-ER300, Diamond DA42-VI, and Cirrus SR 22.

The Dubai Airshow serves as a nexus for professionals and stakeholders in the aerospace industry, promoting collaboration, technological advancement, exploration of the latest trends, and the pursuit of sustainable innovation.
