In a significant step towards enhancing collaboration and skill development, the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) has joined hands with the Mohammed bin Rashid School of Government (MBRSG), marking the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

The MoU paves the way for MBRSG to provide valuable academic support, innovative training, and cutting-edge research programs to the dedicated personnel of the ministry. This collaboration closely aligns with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, which underscores the importance of adopting best administrative practices and nurturing a culture of innovation within institutional frameworks.

Embracing its role in elevating the enrichment of knowledge and empowering local talent, MBRSG aligns perfectly with this agreement. The MoU was formally signed by Dr. Rashid Khalfan Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary of the Support Services Sector at MoIAT, and Ali bin Sebaa Al-Marri, Executive President of MBRSG. The ceremony witnessed the presence of key figures including Omar Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of MoIAT, Aisha Sultan AlShamsi, Director of Executive Education, and Mohammed Al Khatib, Director of Corporate Support Services.

Dr. Al Nuaimi emphasized the congruence between this initiative and the UAE’s visionary aspirations, as encapsulated in the ‘We the UAE 2031’ plan. He underscored how enhancing the capabilities of ministry staff significantly contributes to fortifying the national workforce, especially in sectors of strategic importance like industry and advanced technology. Dr. Al Nuaimi stated, “The ministry aims to upskill its workforce and elevate administrative services in accordance with global best practices, while instilling a culture of innovation.”

Dr. Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri, Executive President of MBRSG, voiced his satisfaction in formalizing the academic cooperation with MoIAT. He expressed how this partnership will not only nurture qualified individuals but also aligns with MBRSG’s mission to empower future leaders. “We are committed to working with various government entities, providing counsel, and facilitating specialized training programs and executive education diplomas,” Dr. Al Marri added.

As part of this comprehensive agreement, eligible ministry staff members will have the privilege of enrolling in academic programs, with sponsored employees earning academic certificates upon successful completion. Furthermore, specialized training spanning diverse fields will equip employees with the tools needed for effective knowledge management, research methodologies, and decision-making processes.

The collaboration extends beyond training and education, as MoIAT will extend support to MBRSG in shaping policies for future industries, emphasizing digital transformation, artificial intelligence, circular economy adoption, clean energy transition, small and medium-sized enterprise empowerment, sustainable development goals achievement, agricultural technologies, and innovation in industrial applications.

The MoIAT-MBRSG partnership is set to extend its reach into strategies, governance, risk management, knowledge enhancement, research, and data analysis. Workshops, seminars, and conferences will serve as platforms for developing innovative proposals and programs that contribute to the overall enhancement of cooperation and progress.
