Memory Technology Middle East (MTC) has entered into a partnership agreement with Huawei, a global ICT leader, to accelerate the digital transformation of Small and Medium Businesses (SMBs) in the region, starting with the UAE. This collaboration aims to enhance technology products and solutions offerings for SMBs, empowering their future business development and growth.

Under the terms of the agreement, MTC will serve as a distributor, offering a comprehensive datacom SOHO (Small office/Home office) portfolio supported by Huawei’s eKit platform. This partnership further reinforces MTC’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge technology solutions and exceptional service to its clients. The diverse range of offerings resulting from this collaboration will cater to various SMBs, including medium-sized hospitals, schools, supermarkets, restaurants, and internet cafes.

Huawei recently announced a significant distribution strategy that empowers its partners to reach a broader base of SMBs and assist them in their digital journey by leveraging advanced products and technology solutions. These offerings aim to enhance user and customer experiences, improve operational efficiency, increase productivity, save costs, and ultimately contribute to the future development and growth of SMBs.

The Huawei eKit platform serves as a one-stop solution, integrating the company’s policies, products, solutions, services, and digital tools specifically designed for enterprise digital transformation. This platform will assist distributors and their partner networks in effectively reaching SMBs with competitive offerings.

Mr. Houssam Mobied, CEO of MTC, and Mr. Brent Li, Managing Director of Enterprise Business Group at Huawei UAE, signed the Sales Framework Agreement for Distribution Business on behalf of their respective companies. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Mr. David Shi, President of Enterprise Business Group at Huawei Middle East and Central Asia.

Expressing his enthusiasm about the partnership, Mr. Houssam Mobied, CEO of MTC, stated, “We are proud to establish this strategic partnership with Huawei, a global leader in the industry. This collaboration signifies a significant milestone for MTC, and we are confident that it will drive our business to new heights. By leveraging Huawei’s expertise, we will deliver added value to our customers through tailor-made SMB solutions. We believe that joining forces with Huawei will contribute to the digital transformation and future success of SMBs in the UAE.”

Mr. David Shi, President of Enterprise Business Group at Huawei Middle East and Central Asia, remarked, “This agreement represents an important step forward in achieving shared success in the distribution business in the UAE. SMBs are a vital lifeline for the UAE, and Huawei is committed to providing comprehensive technology solutions to meet their unique requirements through our strategic partnership with MTC. Together, we are confident that we will grow and succeed in our businesses.”

Headquartered in Dubai, MTC is a leading IT distributor that has continuously evolved in the IT distribution landscape since its establishment in 1998. It has established itself as the premier distributor in the MENA region.

As the digital economy gains momentum, an increasing number of SMBs recognize the urgent need for digital technologies to enhance their operational efficiency and revenue. To support the global commercial and distribution market, Huawei has established dedicated business teams that work closely with partners to accelerate the digital transformation of SMBs.

Prominent economists and entrepreneurship specialists have recently emphasized the risks of remaining analog laggards in an increasingly digital world. It is widely agreed that smaller firms must embrace digitalization now to avoid the risk of extinction in the near future.

Huawei offers a comprehensive range of product portfolios and solutions that enable SMBs to focus on their business growth and achieve their goals. In fact, Huawei was recognized as a Leader in the 2022 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Enterprise Wired and Wireless LAN Infrastructure, the only non-North American vendor positioned in the Leaders Quadrant.
