Nutanix and the Digital Government Authority (DGA) of Saudi Arabia have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bolster the country’s digital transformation and innovation efforts. The collaboration aims to facilitate government agencies’ utilization of cloud services, explore digital business prospects, and enhance cooperation to expedite innovation and digitalization in Saudi Arabia.

This agreement was discussed in New York City during a meeting attended by a high-level delegation from the DGA, led by His Excellency Eng. Ahmed Alsuwaiyan, Governor of the Digital Government Authority, and representatives from Nutanix, including Mr. Pai Venugopal, Chief Customer Experience Officer, and Mr. Talal Al-Saif, Nutanix’s Sales Director for Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, and Egypt. The signing ceremony took place in Riyadh.

Eng. Ahmed Alsuwaiyan highlighted that this MoU aligns with the Authority’s initiatives to accelerate the adoption of cloud computing services and implement international best practices across various digital government areas. The ultimate goal is to bolster Saudi Arabia’s digital leadership, nurture the local technology industry, support the adoption of cloud computing services, and enhance the quality of digital services, all in line with the strategic vision of the digital government and Saudi Vision 2030.

Mr. Talal Al-Saif emphasized that Nutanix’s platform enables hybrid cloud computing for public sector agencies, allowing them to seamlessly run and manage workloads and applications across on-premises data centers, public and private clouds, various hypervisors, and containers as a unified infrastructure. By simplifying IT infrastructure and associated tasks, Nutanix empowers government IT teams to concentrate on new projects and initiatives, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of critical services.

As part of this agreement, Nutanix will deepen its collaboration with the DGA and approved XSP service providers. They will work together to enhance skills and expertise through resource enablement within Nutanix’s pre-sales activities. Additionally, the partnership will assist government and public institutions in adopting public cloud computing services, offering streamlined, fast, and scalable solutions.
