In a bid to enhance utility services, the Sharjah Electricity, Water, and Gas Authority (SEWA) have initiated an ambitious project to expand the electrical and water network in the residential area of Al Haray, situated in Khorfakkan city.

With a strong commitment to meeting the highest technical standards, SEWA has commenced excavation and extension works to ensure seamless installation of the new infrastructure. The target is to complete the task before the end of August, facilitating the connection of electricity and water services for the residents. This significant move follows the directives of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, demonstrating a dedication to addressing the local community’s demands and needs.

Under the supervision of Saud Abdulaziz, the Director of the Khorfakkan Department at SEWA, the authority has assembled skilled work teams and provided top-notch equipment to execute the excavation and extension works promptly. The main objective is to establish the electrical and water networks swiftly, along with the installation of transformers in Al Haray, Khorfakkan, ensuring seamless access to essential services for all residents.

Adding to this commendable effort, SEWA has recently completed the construction of the state-of-the-art 33/11 kilovolt (Al Haray3) distribution station in the area. This cutting-edge station adheres to the highest quality and modern technology standards, equipped with advanced safety systems, and was constructed at a cost of AED 25 million. The station boasts three transformers, each with an impressive capacity of 20 megavolts, effectively catering to the present and future electricity requirements of Al Haray’s residential, commercial, and industrial zones.

SEWA’s proactive and innovative initiative is poised to bring significant improvements to the lives of the residents in Al Haray, ensuring they have access to reliable and efficient utility services.
