H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued an Emiri Decree to establish the “Sharjah Digital Department.” According to the Decree, this government department in the Emirate of Sharjah will possess legal personality and the capacity to fulfill its responsibilities.
The newly established Sharjah Digital Department is set to replace both the Sharjah E-Government Department and the Sharjah Digital Office. The Emiri Decree includes the transfer of all rights, assets, and obligations from the E-Government Department and the Sharjah Digital Office to the newly formed department.
Furthermore, the employees of the e-Government Department and the Sharjah Digital Office will undergo a transfer to the Sharjah Digital Department, retaining their current grades, financial allocations, and other associated benefits.
