Sony unveiled the HT-A3000 soundbar, which delivers an acclaimed 360 Spatial Sound experience ideal for a wide range of customers, putting you at the center of your favorite movies and music. Sony also confirms the release of its much-anticipated HT-A5000 soundbar.
The HT-A3000 has 3.1 channels, three front speakers, one of which is dedicated to clear dialogue, and a built-in dual subwoofer for deep bass. When combined with the Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround, the A3000 generates virtual surround sound from multiple dimensions, allowing you to fully experience the thrill of Dolby Atmos® and DTS:X®.
When connected to Sony’s wireless rear speakers SA-RS5 and SA-RS3S, the A3000 provides access to Sony’s revolutionary 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology.
You can feel sound from every direction and distance with 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology. Sound Field Optimization cleverly measures the relative height and position of the soundbar and rear speakers using built-in microphones. It then generates multiple phantom speakers by synthesising sound waves based on positional information. Sony’s wide spatial sound field fills every part of the room, immersing everyone present, thanks to this technology.
HT-A3000 with SA-RS5 and SA-SW3
Adding a wireless subwoofer that handles low frequencies as an option allows the system to reproduce sound with greater impact and power than before. There are two models available, each designed to bring out deeper bass, greater vocal clarity, and increased fidelity in all types of audio content.
You can choose between the SA-SW5 subwoofer, which produces 300W of deep, rich bass from a 180mm driver with a passive radiator, and the SA-SW3, which produces 200W of sound from a compact bass reflex subwoofer with a 160mm driver.
Add the SA-RS5 wireless rear speakers for 180W of wider surround sound to elevate your home cinema experience. The SA-RS5 features up-firing speakers that produce richer and more immersive 360 Spatial Sound, as well as built-in battery power, or choose the SA-RS3S wireless rear speakers, which produce a total of 100W.

By pairing the A3000 with compatible BRAVIA XR TVs, you can further enhance your home cinema experience. Using the Acoustic Center Sync feature, both the soundbar and the BRAVIA XR TV become the home cinema system’s center speaker. Action and sound become perfectly aligned, resulting in total immersion. You’ll even hear dialogue from the character’s exact location in the scene.
Furthermore, Acoustic Center Sync collaborates with the 360 Spatial Sound Mapping setup to deliver a more immersive viewing experience and clearer dialogue than ever before.
Your music comes to life with the A3000. With 360 Reality Audio, you can discover a new way of listening that provides an incredibly immersive live concert or studio session experience. 360 Reality Audio is also available on Amazon Music HD, nugs.net, and TIDAL.
You can easily access popular music services like Spotify on the A3000 and stream all of your favorite albums and playlists using Chromecast, Spotify ConnectTM, or Apple AirPlay 2. You can also use BluetoothR technology to stream music wirelessly from your smartphone, or use the built-in Wi-Fi to stream music from your own devices.
The A3000 includes DSEE ExtremeTM, which uses Edge-AI to restore all of your compressed digital music files in real time. This ensures that you can recover the high-frequency sound lost during compression for a richer, more complete listening experience.
The soundbar is compatible with Google Assistant, Chromecast, and Amazon Alexa-enabled devices. Simply add the A3000 to your speaker group with the Google Home app to begin playing music, changing the volume, or performing a variety of other tasks with your voice.
The A3000 and optional speakers are based on the Omnidirectional Block concept. Its refined rounded edges represent a single solid block providing wide-spreading sound, while the combination of rich material textures emphasizes compatibility with any living room environment.
The A3000 is nearly ready to use right out of the box. Simply connect the HDMI eARC connection to your TV and turn it on. You have all the connections you need to enjoy a breathtaking surround sound experience, with USB, optical in, HDMI out (eARC), and S-CENTER OUT for compatible BRAVIA TVs.

The A5000 also includes Sony’s revolutionary 360 Spatial Sound Mapping technology, which brings a new level of surround sound to your living space. When connecting the soundbar to the SA-RS3S rear speakers or the new SA-RS5 wireless rear speaker, you can access the 360 Spatial Sound setup.
