The Khalifa International Award for Early Learning (KIAEL) Awarding Committee members this week praised UNESCO’s Tashkent Declaration for Early Childhood Education’s call to include sustainability and climate change as core guiding principles.
The MoU lays solid foundations for exchanging experiences, knowledge, and expertise in the sectors of culture, such as antiquities, heritage, arts, libraries, cultural and creative enterprises, and the study of each other’s culture, language, literature, arts, and heritage. It also encourages library collaboration as well as involvement in cultural and artistic activities and events in both nations.
Commenting on the Ministry of Culture and Youth’s participation, Her Excellency Noura Bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, Minister of Culture and Youth, said: “Expo 2020 Dubai is an opportunity to spotlight the UAE’s knowledge and cultural diversity. Based on the principles of tolerance, harmony and communication, the Expo will be a convergence of people and cultures from across the world.”
The summit welcomed experts from the global ICT ecosystem including keynotes from representatives of government and international non-governmental organizations, including Hou Tao, Global Vice President of Huawei, and Zhan Tao, Director at UNESCO IITE.
