The Artificial Intelligence Office of the UAE has joined forces with the Abu Dhabi Global Market Academy (ADGMA) in a strategic partnership aimed at empowering 5,000 national talents in the realm of digital technologies. This collaboration was announced during the Global Dev Slam at GITEX Global 2023.

Saqr bin Ghalib, the Executive Director of the Artificial Intelligence Office, underlined the partnership’s goal to advance systems and programs, focusing on talent development and fostering established alliances. The primary objective is to enhance the skills of digital leaders and cultivate the next generation of digital experts.

Furthermore, this partnership places a significant emphasis on nurturing national talent, with a specific focus on enhancing expertise in emerging sectors. This initiative aligns with the UAE Strategy for Artificial Intelligence, which aims to boost competencies in the AI field, upskill technology-related jobs, and provide comprehensive training programs for government employees.

The initiative’s core purpose is to equip national professionals with essential digital skills, enabling their active participation in digital transformation endeavors. It seeks to provide participants with a robust toolkit and knowledge base to adapt to the rapidly evolving digital landscape. This will be achieved through a series of specialized training workshops designed to prepare national professionals for success in the digital realm.

The program is structured into three key phases: awareness, practical application, and strategic planning. It encompasses various contemporary digital technologies and concepts, including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data science, and financial technology.

During the launch of this strategic collaboration, Hamad Sayah Al Mazrouei, Chairman of ADGM Academy’s Board of Directors, emphasized the Academy’s commitment to promoting and supporting specialized talents, thereby contributing to the development of a knowledge-based national economy. Al Mazrouei also highlighted the critical role of artificial intelligence and the digital sector in shaping the future vision of Abu Dhabi and the UAE. He expressed the Academy’s commitment to opening new horizons of innovation for future generations, underscoring the Academy’s successful track record in training national talents and experts who now hold key positions in the financial and digital sector, not only in the UAE but also across the entire region.
