Wipro announced Mohammed Areff as the new Country Head & MD in the Middle East.
Wipro’s ambition for company growth, localization, brand building, and significant transformative and modernization engagements with customers in key sectors across the region will be the focus of Areff’s work.
Areff is a seasoned executive with over two decades of experience working for numerous multinationals in the Middle East, where he has led client transformations in a variety of industries.
Areff was most recently the Regional Director of Microsoft Gulf, where he was in charge of driving successful customer outcomes through technology deployments and implementations across multi-cloud environments, leveraging Data and AI, CRM, ERP, Enterprise Security, and incorporating the use of Microsoft’s Productivity and Collaboration tools. He also led teams across multiple industry verticals, specializing in new business and premium cloud solutions from a sales and technical standpoint. Prior to that, Areff had leadership positions at NCR Corporation and Avaya, where he gained substantial experience in the Middle East Managed Services industry.
Areff will report to N.S. Bala, CEO – APMEA, Wipro Limited.
