The Dubai branch of BD (Becton, Dickinson, and Company) is gearing up to present its innovative and cutting-edge MedTech solutions at the 17th Patient Safety Congress, which will take place from November 4th to 6th, 2021.
“The situation that we have been through in the last two years has demonstrated that healthcare is at the heart of the region’s growth and has highlighted the necessity for advanced MedTech adoption to strengthen the health sector’s standing. Avenues like the Patient Safety Congress are critical for raising awareness and enabling conversations about the needs and improvements that are required for the future of patient safety.” Said Maher Elhassan, Vice President & General Manager, BD Middle East, North Africa & Turkey.
He added, “As part of our mission to advance the world of health, our participation at the Patient Safety Congress 2021 reaffirms the company’s commitment to the healthcare sector by showcasing our latest innovations in patient care, safety, diagnostic accuracy, automation, and more.”
Patient safety is at the forefront of BD’s efforts. By supplying innovative medical technology, experience, and solutions, the organization aims to assist the region’s healthcare professionals in pursuing sustainable practices. BD will highlight the importance of medical technologies that prevent healthcare-associated infections, promote safer medical procedures, and address the need to detect several life-threatening pathogens identified and tested for antibiotic susceptibility for improved treatment management decisions at the Patient Safety Congress.
BD will also participate in two webinars titled Patient Safety, Shared Responsibility, and Connecting & Optimizing a Patient’s Journey to Safety at the virtual event. The first webinar will give attendees a greater understanding of BD’s quality-driven history, allowing for long-term patient safety culture while retaining quality efficiency. At the BD Centre for Safety & Clinical Excellence, the second session will feature an immersive virtual experience.
It is believed that one out of every ten patients suffers harm as a result of poor care, and research reveals that 30-70 percent of medical errors can be avoided with the use of innovative MedTech solutions. To address these and other problems, BD continues to emphasize enhancing diagnostic accuracy and efficiency to put patients on the proper clinical track and provide a more error-free trip.
