Expo 2020 Dubai has created an official tourist app as well as a business-focused app, ensuring that millions of visitors make the most of the 182 aesthetically stunning and emotionally stimulating days of Expo beginning on October 1, 2021.

The official Expo 2020 app allows users to personalise their Expo experience by matching individual interests to create a personalised itinerary of events and attractions that spans an area twice the size of Monaco.

Visitors may use the app to purchase tickets, select from more than 200 eating options and themed culinary events, and make reservations for Expo 2020’s sophisticated Smart Queue system, which allows attendees to secure a convenient time window to visit a pavilion of their choosing while avoiding lines.

The app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play, was created in collaboration with Accenture, Expo 2020’s Official Digital Services Partner. It allows visitors to create an Expo 2020 account or link their social media account, as well as access a GPS-enabled interactive map of the Expo site and step-by-step directions to points of interest throughout Expo.

The app’s chatbot will provide information on how to make Expo 2020 visits safe and pleasurable, including facts on opening times, parking alternatives, and how to get to Expo using Dubai’s huge public transportation system.

Mohammed Alhashmi, Chief Technology Officer, Expo 2020 Dubai, said: “Hosting the world in one place for six months, Expo 2020 offers visitors a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore new frontiers and join in a celebration of creativity, innovation, human progress and culture. Whether you’re interested in boarding our Garden in the Sky observation tower 55 metres above the ground; partying at Expo Beats, our monthly music festival featuring a global cast; or experiencing the spectacular Expo Water Feature, the Expo 2020 app has everything on offer at your fingertips.”

Gerado Canta, Senior Managing Director and Executive Sponsor for Accenture’s partnership with Expo 2020 Dubai, said: “Accenture, in partnership with Etisalat Digital, helped to develop the event’s visitor-facing digital channels, including the official Expo 2020 app, virtual assistant and website, enabling Expo 2020 to bring its story to millions worldwide. The mobile app is a window for visitors worldwide to learn about Expo 2020 and plan their visits via curated journeys to ensure an accessible and relevant experience for all.”

Separately, the Expo 2020 Business App connects individuals in the business community who have common interests and goals, with the goal of promoting significant business to business (B2B), business to government (B2G), and government to government (G2G) connections across industries and regions.

It proposes prospective matches for users based on their profiles, skills, goals, and engagement habits, and is available for mobile and desktop, guaranteeing that any business visitor can fulfil their business objectives.

The Expo 2020 Business App, which is available on the WebApp, App Store, and Google Play, allows users to establish their own distinctive profile by highlighting vital facts and contact details, as well as filtering and investigating possible match partners. Individuals can start connecting, conversing, and booking meetings with other users, businesses, and entities of interest once they’ve created a connection, both during and after Expo, which ends on March 31, 2022.

While the app is free to download, there is a nominal registration cost to use the premium features, which include networking, connecting, messaging, and organising meetings. The Premium Experience includes complimentary access to the premium features of the Expo 2020 Business App, as well as a slew of other benefits.

In addition to these two primary apps, fitness enthusiasts attending Expo 2020 can use the Glofox App (available on the App Store and Google Play) to track their health and make the most of all the sport and health-related events on offer. Glofox allows customers explore timetables and services, book lessons, and interact with other members and instructors at the Expo 2020 Sports, Fitness, and Wellbeing Hub, which is hosting an eclectic mix for all ages and physical abilities. Before joining in and registering for classes, look for ‘Expo 2020: Sports, Fitness, and Wellbeing Hub’ on the Glofox App.

Expo 2020 will bring together more than 200 participants from 192 nations, as well as millions of visitors, from October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, to cooperate on solutions to conserve the planet for our communities and future generations, encouraging them to participate in the creation of a new world.
