HUAWEI has announced the launch of its latest flagship smartphone, the HUAWEI Pura 80 Ultra. The device brings major upgrades to camera performance, design, and user experience.

The company revealed that the Pura 80 Ultra features a Switchable Dual Telephoto Camera. It offers 3.7x and 9.4x focal lengths, paired with a super-large sensor. This setup allows users to capture cinematic portraits and sharp close-ups with rich spatial depth. HUAWEI noted that the telephoto lens performs well even in low-light conditions.

The main camera has also been upgraded. It now includes a 1-inch Ultra Lighting HDR Camera with a dynamic range of 16EV. According to HUAWEI, this surpasses many professional cinema cameras and delivers balanced images in high-contrast scenes. The Ultra Chroma Camera supports better low-light performance and vivid nightscapes.

The Pura 80 Ultra also introduces a new aesthetic. HUAWEI highlighted its Dazzling Forward Symbol design, inspired by luxury jewellery and watches. The golden camera ring and XMAGE emblem add a premium touch.

On the software side, the phone runs EMUI 15 with AI-powered features. These include message privacy controls, two-way noise reduction during calls, and a Smart Controls Button that doubles as a fingerprint reader and shortcut tool.

For power and display, HUAWEI revealed the following specifications:

  • 100W HUAWEI SuperCharge and 80W Wireless SuperCharge
  • 5170mAh battery
  • All-new Ultra-clear HUAWEI X-True Display with 3000nit peak brightness
  • Adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rate for smoother visuals

The company reported that the Pura 80 Ultra is available for pre-order from 23rd July starting at AED 3,999. Customers will receive free gifts worth AED 1,984, including the HUAWEI Watch GT5 and one year of HUAWEI Care+.

In a market filled with incremental updates, HUAWEI positions the Pura 80 Ultra as a serious choice for photography enthusiasts and flagship smartphone users.
