Sophos, security solutions, today announced a strategic threat intelligence sharing partnership with Halcyon, an anti-ransomware provider. The collaboration aims to accelerate ransomware detection, improve protection, and enhance response capabilities for over 300,000 organizations worldwide.

The partnership will enable real-time exchange of threat intelligence, including indicators of compromise (IOCs), adversary behaviors, and attack patterns. This data-sharing initiative supports ransomware prevention and speeds up response times. It will benefit users of Sophos Endpoint powered by Intercept X, Sophos Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Sophos XDR, and Halcyon’s Anti-Ransomware Platform.

Furthermore, Sophos and Halcyon will implement mutual anti-tamper protections. This feature allows each platform to monitor and protect the other’s agents within customer environments. As a result, organizations will enjoy greater resilience and reduced risk of ransomware interfering with their defenses.

This partnership is part of Sophos’ broader strategy to expand threat response through collaborations. Sophos X-Ops, its cross-functional threat intelligence unit, will work closely with Halcyon’s research teams to share ransomware-related insights across multiple attack surfaces.

Simon Reed, Chief Research and Scientific Officer at Sophos, said the collaboration improves signal fidelity and accelerates detection, strengthening protection for all organizations served.

Jon Miller, CEO and co-founder of Halcyon, praised Sophos as one of the most effective endpoint security platforms, emphasizing their commitment to innovation and superior ransomware defense.

Key points of the collaboration include:
• Real-time sharing of ransomware intelligence to improve detection and response
• Enhanced threat detection and protection updates across Sophos and Halcyon platforms
• Mutual anti-tamper protections to safeguard security agents during attacks

Together, Sophos and Halcyon reaffirm their commitment to cybersecurity innovation and industry cooperation, delivering advanced threat intelligence to stay ahead of cybercriminals.
