Lenovo announced the appointment of its executive leadership team for Saudi Arabia, marking a key step in the company’s regional growth strategy. The move coincides with plans to establish a Regional Headquarters (RHQ) in Riyadh at the Al Majdoul Tower, supporting Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and digital transformation goals.

The appointments form part of Lenovo’s collaboration with ALAT, a Public Investment Fund (PIF)-owned company. Together, they broke ground in February 2025 on a 200,000 sqm advanced manufacturing facility in the Riyadh Integrated area, operated by the Special Integrated Logistics Zone (SILZ). The facility is expected to produce millions of “Saudi Made” devices by 2026.

The RHQ in Riyadh will strengthen Lenovo’s regional operations, including a flagship retail space, VIP customer center, R&D, marketing, and strategic partnerships across Saudi Arabia. The Al Majdoul Tower hosts several PIF entities, government offices, and tech companies, placing Lenovo at the heart of the Kingdom’s innovation and industrial transformation.

Lenovo appointed Lawrence Yu as Head of Regional Headquarters, Giovanni Di Filippo as Vice President & General Manager for Lenovo Saudi Arabia, and Zoran Radumilo as Chief Technology Officer (CTO).

  • Lawrence Yu has been with Lenovo for 15 years and previously led Lenovo Retail Solutions globally, achieving 40% annual revenue growth over five years. He will oversee Lenovo’s RHQ, ALAT partnerships, and manufacturing milestones.
  • Giovanni Di Filippo will manage all business units in Saudi Arabia, including IDG, ISG, and SSG, focusing on cross-portfolio growth and regional sales expansion.
  • Zoran Radumilo brings over 25 years of experience in AI, cloud, and software solutions, leading go-to-market strategies in key verticals such as government, energy, telecommunications, smart cities, and financial services.

Matt Dobrodziej, Senior Vice President & President of Lenovo EMEA, said the RHQ and executive appointments mark a major milestone in Lenovo’s Saudi Arabia strategy. He added that the company’s initiatives, including the manufacturing facility and retail investments, are projected to contribute up to USD 10 billion to non-oil GDP by 2030.

Lenovo’s expansion in Saudi Arabia reflects its commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives.
