Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, RTA Dubai has announced the launch of its smart reporting service, Madinati, through the Mahboub chatbot on WhatsApp. The service allows residents and visitors to report infrastructure and public transport damage across the emirate.

Users can report issues such as pavements, bus shelters, traffic signals, directional signs, and other infrastructure assets. The service enables users to capture photos and send them directly via WhatsApp. This streamlines reporting and ensures faster responses.

The initiative is part of RTA Dubai’s Strategy 2024–2030, which focuses on Future Readiness, Data-Driven Transformation, and developing an agile technological infrastructure. The strategy aims to reinforce Dubai’s position as a smart and sustainable city.

Meera Al Shaikh, Director of Customer Happiness at RTA’s Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector, said the launch underscores the authority’s commitment to enhancing community participation. She highlighted that the platform strengthens RTA’s corporate reputation while ensuring rapid response times.

  • In the first half of 2025, RTA’s Call Centre received 6,525 reports through Madinati.
  • Users can also submit proposals related to infrastructure and streets, enhancing public collaboration.

RTA continues to develop flexible and scalable digital services, aiming to provide innovative, high-quality, and accessible solutions for all residents and visitors of Dubai.
