Under the directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has launched a new initiative to drive the adoption of Agentic AI across Dubai’s private sector.

The programme aims to transition businesses toward self-executing and self-leading artificial intelligence systems. It is designed to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and reshape how companies operate.

As part of the initiative, a two-year transformation programme will be rolled out. It will include specialised training tracks for all business councils affiliated with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce. These tracks are intended to accelerate adoption and build capabilities across industries.

In addition, Sheikh Hamdan has directed the Chamber to establish incubators for Agentic AI companies. He also called for the creation of dedicated funds to support this shift. Furthermore, the initiative aims to open new economic opportunities for young people entering the AI field.

He said the goal is to position Dubai as the world’s leading city in adopting these technologies both economically and commercially. He added that this transition would provide a new competitive edge for the emirate’s future.

Moreover, he emphasised that the programme includes structured training for business councils. At the same time, it supports startups through incubators and funding mechanisms. These measures are expected to accelerate innovation and enable companies to scale AI-driven operations.

The initiative also aligns with a broader vision led by Sheikh Mohammed to transform Dubai into a future-ready city. This includes advancements in technology, infrastructure, and quality of life. As a result, the focus on data as the “oil of the future” continues to shape policy and investment decisions.

Dubai has already launched several digital initiatives. These include DubaiNow, the Dubai Metaverse Strategy, and the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence. Together, they form an ecosystem that supports innovation and attracts global investment.

At the same time, Dubai’s approach to private sector support is built on strong public-private partnerships. Direct engagement through business councils ensures communication with decision-makers. Additionally, the emirate continues to reduce operational costs and expand market access for companies.

His Excellency Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of Dubai Chambers, described the initiative as a pivotal milestone. He said it would open new horizons for sustainable economic growth and strengthen Dubai’s position as a global hub for business and innovation.

He added that Dubai Chambers will implement specialised training, incubators, and funding programmes. These efforts aim to empower entrepreneurs and accelerate digital transformation across sectors.

Meanwhile, His Excellency Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair, Chairman of Abdulla Al Ghurair Group and Mashreq Bank, said the transition to Agentic AI marks a new era for the private sector. He noted that it will enable investment in young talent and support the development of future-ready business models.

Similarly, His Excellency Ahmad bin Byat, Vice Chairman of Dubai Chambers, said the initiative represents an advanced stage in digital transformation. He stated that it will enhance productivity and operational efficiency through autonomous systems. He also highlighted plans to expand legislative support, incubators, and global partnerships.

Furthermore, His Excellency Omar Abdulla Al Futtaim, Vice Chairman and CEO of Al-Futtaim Group, called the initiative a strategic step. He said it reinforces Dubai’s position as a global economic hub and encourages continuous development in business practices. He also emphasised the importance of investing in people and skills to maximise AI potential.

In addition, Dr. Amina Al Rostamani, Member of the Board of Directors of Dubai Chambers, said the initiative opens new opportunities for the private sector. She noted that within two years, it will transform businesses into a leading model for AI-driven decision-making.

She added that specialised incubators will accelerate digital transformation. They will also create new economic opportunities for the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Overall, the initiative is expected to position Dubai at the forefront of global AI adoption. It reinforces the emirate’s ambition to lead in innovation, investment, and advanced technologies through the widespread deployment of Agentic AI.
